Testimonials "My husband
and I hired Jim to do a home inspection and we loved his quality of work. Our attorney even stated that he was
impressed by Jim's work and that he had never seen an inspection report that was that thorough before. Jim even
went to the extent of providing rough estimates of what it might cost me to do various important repairs that are needed.
If I ever need another home inspection, you bet I'll be calling Jim. I will certainly recommend that others hire Jim for their
home inspections. Thank you, Jim! Chiku Jim came by yesterday to visit one of my potential
investment properties and he was very professional. Although it was a very hot day yesterday (104 Degrees) and GOD knows how
hot it was in the crawl space or attic. However he continued his inspection beyond our expectations. Also we got the report
within the end of the Business day and by far very detailed report and pictures in his findings. We strongly recommend his
service / plan and we are assure JIM is our go to Home Inspector. I just had Jim
over for a mold inspection 2 days ago. He arrived on time, was very professional and very thorough during the inspection.
He went above and beyond my expectations. I received the report today and it included very detailed pictures of his findings
and the lab results. I would definitely recommend his service and plan on using it again if needed. Laura Thank you so much for the inspection Jim. It was a pleasure working with you and I appreciate your
hard work. I definitely learned an awful lot just from your explanations, I really appreciate all of that. Sincerely, Nicole I am so thankful that I carefully
researched home inspectors online before choosing who to hire. Jim’s inspection work was very detailed and thorough.
Perhaps the best added value Jim provided though was the follow up recommendations for how I could best repair and remediate
issues he uncovered. I am very thankful for his service and would certainly use him again. Bryce
Thank you so much Jim! Your report is so detailed....you truely
do treat each home like it's your own. The summary at the end of the report is great and all the photographs
help out so much. Please give me a call when you find out the results of the mold report.
I will definitely recommend you to family and friends! I'll let you
know if we have any questions. Thanks again! Luisa
Joey Dear Jim, Thank you so much for your

Sharon

Jim Langworthy has worked for me twice in the last six months.
During this time he had helped me with mold issues within my own unit and I also recommended to my condo association that
they use Jim's services because he was extremely helpful and professional. Jim has knowledge beyond most inspectors and he
is also very courteous when dealing with you house. Jim was very easy to work with and his prices are very fair. Not
only did he do his regular inspection of mold and mold issues within my unit, he had also found where and how most of these
issues came from. I would recommend Jim for anyone who is looking for an inspector for your house or one you are about to
buy. I wish I had used him before I purchased my current house. Thank you very much, Jay
Home Inspector If a home inspector is doing
more than 2 inspections in a day, you are not getting what you paid for. Thank you for visiting my website and the
opportunity to serve all your inspection needs. I am an inspector that can NOT perform more than 2 inspections
in a day (3 hour inspection, 30 minute travel time EACH way, 1 1/2 hours to generate report. That equals 5 1/2 hours
for one inspection). This time is needed to give each client a thorough inspection and a detailed narrative report
that they deserve. Night and weekend inspections are available at no additional cost.
Do you want a large company to perform your home inspection with a paid employee or do you want
a home inspector to be the owner of the home inspection company who has pride and dedication to the profession? When I took my pre license education classes for the State of Illinois license
, I had the 2nd highest score in the class, higher than 3 practicing home inspectors. I passed the State of Illinois exam
on the first try. Over thirty years experience in the construction related industries in the Chicago, Illinois area. The
inspection will be accurate, unbiased, comprehensive, thorough inspection with photos of the issues found during the inspection.
Look at my photo page and also my background and experience. You will feel assured and comfortable of a quality, professional
inspection by an honest inspector with integrity. Questions are always welcomed, telephone support is a free service. The estimated
average annual repair cost is usually between 1% and 2% of the the house value. A qualified home inspector can help identify
these problems.
If you want to sell your home. A pre-marketing inspection provides the seller with an objective
evaluation of the homes condition before the house is put on the market. A home inspection not only encourages a faster
sale and a better price, it also helps ensure compliance with disclosure requirements.
If you are a homeowner. Even if you do not intend to sell your home, a thorough inspection of your house and property every four to five years can
yield significant returns. First and foremost, a professional home inspector can identify conditions that may be present or
may lead to safety hazards for family members. Furthermore, periodic home inspections can help detect potential problems early,
before they become severe and costly.

Many people do not think twice about paying an auto
repair shop $80 per hour to fix their car. Yet thousands of people will spend hours shopping for a home inspector who gives
them the lowest price and save a few dollars. The auto mechanic simply fixes the car. While that is important, consider your
house likely the most expensive and longest term investment of your entire life. A good home inspector can identify issues
before you purchase often allowing you to reduce the cost of your purchase by thousands of dollars. The following is a partial
list of cities and suburbs in Illinois that JL Home Inspection performs home inspections. Chicago, Addison, Algonquin, Alsip,

Mold Inspector What is Mold! Call
for Mold Testing and a Mold Inspection Today 847-501-0721 Email me @ jim@jlhomeinspection.com JL Home Inspection serving Chicago
and suburbs of Illinois, will take 3 mold samples, two samples indoors, and one outdoors to determine if there are elevated
mold spore counts inside the home. These samples are included in the price. These samples will be sent to a AIHA accredited
Lab for analysis. A mold report from the lab and my report will be sent to you, the client. Additional sampling can be done
on ductwork, walls, carpets etc at an additional charge, upon your approval, but usually not neccessary. A mold inspection
is neccessary to find areas of water intrusion. I utilize technology such as a thermal Imaging camera, moisture meter, humidity
/ temperature sensors to determine where there is water intrusion. A home inspector has knowledge unlike any person in the
trades. We have a vast knowledge of all major systems and the experience of home inspector leads us to probable areas of water
intrusion. Stop the water, stop the mold growth. Call today for a free quote. The key to mold control is moisture control.
It is important to dry water-damaged areas and items within
24-48 hours to prevent mold growth.
Can mold cause health problems!! Molds are usually not a problem indoors, unless
mold spores land on a wet or damp spot and begin growing. Molds have the potential to cause health problems. Molds produce
allergens (substances that can cause allergic reactions), irritants, and in some cases, potentially toxic substances (mycotoxins).
Inhaling or touching mold or mold spores may cause allergic reactions in sensitive individuals. Allergic responses include
hay fever-type symptoms, such as sneezing, runny nose, red eyes, and skin rash (dermatitis). Molds can also cause asthma attacks
in people with asthma who are allergic to mold. This does not describe all potential health effects related to mold exposure.
For more detailed information consult a health professional. You may also wish to consult your state or local health department.
If you have health concerns, consult a health professional before starting cleanup. How do I get rid of mold? It is impossible to
get rid of all mold and mold spores indoors, some mold spores will be found floating through the air and in house dust. The
mold spores will not grow if moisture is not present. Indoor mold growth can and should be prevented or controlled by controlling
moisture indoors. If there is mold growth in your home, you must clean up the mold and fix the water problem. If you clean
up the mold, but don't fix the water problem, then, most likely, the mold problem will come back. Who should do the cleanup depends on a number of factors. One consideration is the size of the mold
problem. If the moldy area is less than about 30 square feet (less than roughly a 6 ft. by 5 ft. patch), in most cases, you
can handle the job yourself, following the guidelines below. If there has been a lot of water damage, and/or mold growth
covers more than 30 square feet, consult the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) guide: Mold Remediation in Schools
and Commercial Buildings. EPA Indoor Air Quality Information Clearinghouse IAQ INFO at (800) 438-4318. If you choose to hire
a contractor (or other professional service provider) to do the cleanup, make sure the contractor has experience cleaning
up mold. Check references and ask the contractor to follow the recommendations of the EPA, the guidelines of the American
Conference of Governmental Industrial Hygenists (ACGIH), or other guidelines from professional or government organizations.
If you suspect that the heating/ventilation/air conditioning (HVAC) system may be contaminated with mold (it is
part of an identified moisture problem, for instance, or there is mold near the intake to the system), consult EPA's guide
Should You Have the Air Ducts in Your Home Cleaned? before taking further action. Do not run the HVAC system if you know or
suspect that it is contaminated with mold - it could spread mold throughout the building. If the water and/or mold damage
was caused by sewage or other contaminated water, then call in a professional who has experience cleaning and fixing buildings
damaged by contaminated water.
